Stompin' Dave & Slammer Durrant
When Stompin' Dave & Slammer Durrant perform together they perform bluegrass, old time, and folk music.
Slammer hails from Seaton in Devon. He has performed with Dave for many years as well as with country band the Good Old Boys, and folk group Rusty Razor. Simon adds rhythm guitar and vocals to Dave's vocals, banjo, fiddle and tap. Simon regularly promotes gigs in the Devon area, mainly at The Kings Arms in Stockland. He is also musical director of Goren Festival, Devon.
Dave and Slammer released a duo album together in 2021. Despite being an album comprised of old time fiddle tunes and songs they received a very favourable review form Blues In Britain Magazine "The sound throughout is excellent, and makes this whole set a listening pleasure."
Described as "one of the world's greatest performers" by Maverick Magazine, Dorset based Stompin' Dave has in excess of twenty five years performing experience. Dave has worked exclusively as a musician performing across the UK and beyond including major festivals such as Glastonbury, and Camp Bestival.
